A bumblebee seen from above, its body banded in blue, yellow and orange and its wings softly veined, sits against a graduated blue background already printed on the fabric. The background is not stitched: you work the bee and its details from the chart in cross stitch, then outline the edges and antennae in back stitch.
The cottons come pre-sorted by colour, so you can start straight away. A frame is not included, and a hoop or stretcher, if you like to keep the fabric taut, needs to be bought separately; there is a margin of plain fabric around the design for mounting. Finished, it makes a square picture for the wall, ideal if you have already tried counted cross stitch.
