Highland Christmas

A Highland cow and her two calves standing still among the birch trees as the snow falls, the warm tones of their coats set against the blue-white wood. The Aida comes with a full colour printed background, so placing the design is straightforward and any unstitched areas blend in with the rest.

It suits a stitcher with a little experience: alongside cross stitch there are fractional stitches, back stitch outlines and French knots, while the sparkle thread catches the light on the snowflakes. All you need to add is a hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors; the picture frame is not included. Finished, it makes a winter piece for Christmas decorating.
