Description

A pair of emperor penguins bending over their chick, with the watercolour feel typical of Hannah Dale's artwork: the soft shading comes from the speckled background already printed on the fabric, while the cross stitch builds up the plumage and the outlines. Backstitch picks out the details and two French knots finish the piece.

The threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so stitching can start straight away; a frame is not included, and neither are a hoop or scissors. Once finished, the square design frames up neatly even without a mount and makes a thoughtful gift for a new baby.
