Description

A mother duck leading her five ducklings, drawn in the soft, painterly style of Hannah Dale: the feathers are suggested with just a few light stitches. The speckled background is already printed on the fabric, so the stitching sits on a painted-looking base and the piece comes together more quickly.

The design uses full cross stitch with a few fractional stitches and backstitch outlines, so a little chart-reading experience helps. Alongside the kit it is worth having a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the frame shown is not included.
