Vibrance

Three red-eyed tree frogs balanced one on top of the other against a bright pink background, from Rachel Froud's artwork for The Menagerie range. The background is already printed in full colour on the fabric, so the stitching concentrates on the frogs and the details while the rest reads like a painted picture.

It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, with back stitch for the outlines; the threads come pre-sorted by colour, which saves time at the start. Besides the kit you will want a hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors. No picture frame is included: the square format suits a simple one well.
