A portrait of a white tiger surrounded by peonies, worked in soft shades that move from lilac to grey and pale blue: a design with many tonal transitions that rewards careful chart reading with an almost painterly result.
The 16 count Aida has a fine weave, so the stitching comes out small and crisp; the threads arrive already sorted by colour on the organiser, so there is no need to prepare them before you start. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors are handy while you stitch, and a frame for the finished piece is chosen separately.
