Water

A fantasy portrait: a girl whose long red-orange hair flows into the waves, completed by a sailing ship, fish and air bubbles. It is worked in counted cross stitch on blue-grey Aida, which stays visible and acts as both sky and water, so there is no background to fill in.

The chart comes only in digital form, in the free Fantastitch app: there is no paper version and it cannot be printed, so you will need a smartphone or tablet to follow it. A hoop or frame makes the stitching easier. The frame shown in the photo is not included: the finished landscape-format piece is ideal for framing.
