Afina Blue

Afina Blue belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection inspired by blue and white pottery: fluted vases filled with peonies and roses, bouquets, ribbons and small birds, all drawn in blue on a light background like painted porcelain. It is a large-scale print that looks its best where it can stay whole – the centre blocks of a quilt, borders, the back of a cushion, bags and aprons.

It mixes easily with the other fabrics in the collection, from tiny florals to smaller motifs, recreating the play of patterns side by side that inspired Tone Finnanger. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips or large pieces, choose one of the bigger cuts.
