Agnes Burgundy

Agnes Burgundy belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that looks back to old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. The print runs in vertical burgundy and cream stripes, dotted and sprinkled with small blue and pink posies: a directional design that gives rhythm to quilt borders, ties, drawstring bags and covers for cushions and baskets.

It works as a quiet partner to the larger florals of the same range, in the winter palette of burgundy and blues, and sews up nicely into doll clothes and aprons. When cutting, keep an eye on the direction of the stripes, as it shows at once in small pieces. A pre-wash before cutting avoids surprises with shrinkage.
