Bellflower Flaxen

Bellflower Flaxen belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that takes a romantic look at the decorative styles of the 1960s and 70s, here in the warmer caramel and mustard palette. The print is small and dense, with no strong direction: one of those blender designs that tie the larger prints of a collection together.

It works well in the small patches of a quilt, in borders, linings and drawstring bags, and also on garments and dolls, where the tiny scale survives being cut up. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For long strips or for backing a project, choose one of the larger cuts.
