Brie Charcoal is one of the Tilda basics: a tiny ditsy floral with coral flowers and aqua leaves on an almost black charcoal ground. The print is small and even, with no obvious direction, so it can be cut without worrying about placement – handy for quilt patches and borders, and equally good for linings, little bags and doll clothes.
Dark grounds like this one add depth to groups of lighter fabrics, and the charcoal shade sits well with both the coral and pink of the print and with soft greens. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips or larger panels, choose one of the bigger cuts.
