Brie Ginger is one of the blenders in Tilda's Basics range: a very small, closely packed print of petals and buds that reads from a distance as a warm shade somewhere between ginger and terracotta. That makes it useful wherever you need a fabric that fills the space without stealing the show – between the blocks of a quilt, in borders, in small triangles and in little patchwork pieces.
It is an easy print for sewing too: bag linings, pouches, cushions, little dresses and doll bodies, where the small scale of the motif still shows. It sits happily with darker tones and with the large florals of the Tilda collections. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
