Brie Grey is one of the blenders in Tilda's Basics range: a tiny ditsy print of pink flowers and pale sprigs scattered over a warm grey. Because the motif is small and evenly spaced, it works as a quiet partner to larger prints, yet it also holds its own over wide areas, where from a distance it reads almost as a mottled solid.
It suits the small patches of a quilt, cushion backs, bag linings, doll clothes and all kinds of creative sewing. The cotton is firm and cuts cleanly with a rotary cutter. Pre-wash it before sewing, so the slight shrinkage happens before the project is assembled; for borders or long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
