Brie in the Iris colourway is one of the Tilda basics: a tiny print of scattered buds and sprigs, small enough to read almost as a textured solid. It is the kind of fabric that always comes in handy – filling the blocks of a quilt, cutting small squares and triangles, lining a bag, or making the bodies and dresses of Tilda dolls.
The periwinkle ground with its touches of pink and cream sits happily next to the large florals of the seasonal collections and next to plain fabrics. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for long strips or for backing a project, choose one of the larger cuts.
