Brie Teal is one of the Tilda Basics, the fabrics made to go alongside the printed collections: the design is dense and very small, little flowering sprigs in pale tones on a teal ground, so from a distance it reads almost as a textured solid. That makes it ideal for the linking pieces of a quilt, for linings, for the back of a cushion or for Tilda doll clothes, where a large-scale print would take over.
It sits happily next to bolder prints in green, blue and dusty pink. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
