Cloudpie Grey

Cloudpie Grey belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicated to daydreaming children and the worlds they invent. It is one of the blenders of the range: a small-scale design of twigs, berries and tiny flowers in cream on a dark grey ground, reading almost as a textured solid from a distance.

That makes it useful in a quilt between the larger, brighter prints, for sashing and borders, and on its own for the back of a cushion, a bag, a pouch or clothes for Tilda dolls. It sits well with the warm, dusty tones of the collection and calms down livelier combinations. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
