Cottonview Night belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. Here the print becomes a whole landscape: a pagoda among palm trees, snowy peaks, drifting clouds and grazing horses, drawn in pale blue on a deep night-blue ground, like porcelain seen after dark.
It is a large-scale print that works best in generous pieces: quilt backings, cushion fronts, bags, skirts or curtains. Set against the small motifs and light grounds of the collection, it gives Something Blue its characteristic contrast. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, and choose one of the larger cuts if you need long strips or a whole panel.
