Flowermarket Sky

Flowermarket Sky belongs to Bloomsville, the bright summer collection from Tilda built on strong colours and flowers in full bloom. The blooms here are large and boldly drawn, lime yellow with pink outlines on a deep turquoise ground: a print that needs room, so it shows at its best in large quilt blocks, on a cushion front, a tote bag or an apron.

It sits well next to the tone-on-tone blenders from the same collection, which calm things down and let the flowers breathe. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; if you need long strips or continuous borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
