Isolde Cornflower belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. The print is a dense meadow of daisies, buds and leafy sprigs in cream on a cornflower blue ground: a small, evenly spread design with no clear direction, so it can be cut with very little waste.
It works beautifully as a background fabric in a quilt, in small blocks and linings, and equally well for dresses, bags and Tilda dolls. Placed next to the larger prints in the same collection it gives the play of patterns that inspired the series. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
