Isolde Night belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. The print is tone on tone: flowers, daisies and leafy sprigs in light blue over a deep navy ground, for an almost night-time effect. The design is dense and continuous, so it still reads well when cut into small pieces.
It works as the dark background fabric in a quilt, making the lighter prints of the collection stand out, and suits cushion backs, bags, pouches and Tilda dolls. For a quilt you will also need wadding, backing fabric and fabric for the binding. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
