Janice Caramel belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that takes a romantic look at the decorative styles of the 1960s and 70s. The print is a meadow of tightly packed little flowers in the caramel and blue tones of one of the collection's two colour stories – a small-scale design that still reads clearly when cut into small pieces.
It is an easy fabric for quilt blocks, hexagon patchwork and all kinds of creative sewing: pouches, small bags, linings, garments and clothes for Tilda dolls. It mixes happily with plain fabrics and with the larger prints from the same collection. Pre-wash the cut before sewing, so the slight shrinkage happens before you piece it.
