Lillian Burgundy belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that looks back to old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. It is one of the blender prints: the sprig motif is small and evenly spaced, so it can be cut in any direction without worrying about the pattern and it sits quietly next to the larger designs in the range.
The burgundy with its teal dots belongs to the colder, winter-leaning palette and works well in the small pieces of a quilt, in borders, pouches, doll clothes and linings. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips for borders or binding, choose one of the larger cuts.
