Mable Blue

Mable Blue belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that looks back to old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. Here the roses sit inside wreaths of small leaves, arranged as medallions on a deep blue ground: a regular, medium-scale print that repeats neatly and still reads well when cut into small pieces.

It is an easy fabric for quilt blocks, borders, drawstring bags, cushion covers and clothes for Tilda dolls. It belongs to the cooler side of the collection, with burgundies and blues, and sits happily next to the plains and narrow stripes of the same family. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
