Mable Cold Cream

Mable Cold Cream belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that looks back to old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. The roses sit inside medallions of tiny leaves and small blue flowers, set out in neat rows: a medium-scale, orderly print that cuts well into squares and triangles but also works whole, on a cushion back or a bag lining.

In the colder side of the collection it sits happily with blues and burgundy, while plain fabrics and small dots keep it light. It also suits doll clothes and small sewing projects. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that any shrinkage happens before you sew.
