Margot Burgundy

Margot Burgundy belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that echoes old wallpapers and vintage dress prints. Burgundy roses and buds repeat closely among blue-grey leaves on a cream ground: a medium-scale design that still reads well once cut into squares and narrow strips.

It works well as the main background of a winter quilt, for cushion backs, bags, aprons and clothes for Tilda dolls. Mix it with the other burgundy and blue fabrics in the collection, or with plain solids for a quieter effect. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
