Poppy Seed Soft Blue is one of the Tilda basics: a shower of pale dots, scattered as irregularly as poppy seeds, over a soft dusty blue. The print is so small that from a distance the fabric reads almost as a solid, which is exactly what makes it useful as a background or as a quiet filler between the larger prints in a quilt.
Use it for blocks and sashing, cushion backs, bag linings, little dresses and the bodies of Tilda dolls, where the tiny design stays in scale even on small pieces. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need a continuous length for borders or backing, choose one of the larger cuts.
