Solid Black

Solid Black is the deep black of the Tilda solids range, made to sit alongside the printed collections without competing with them. The cotton has the same handle as the other Tilda fabrics, so it cuts and sews in exactly the same way: good for quilt backgrounds, sashing and binding, cushion backs and doll details, from eyes to little shoes.

A dark ground makes pale shades and the typical Tilda pinks stand out. As this is a strong colour, pre-wash the fabric before cutting and keep it apart from light fabrics for the first few washes. If you need long strips for borders and binding, choose one of the larger cuts.
