Solid Burgundy

Solid Burgundy is one of the Tilda Basics plains, a deep wine red that sits quietly beside the house florals. Solids are always useful: they separate the blocks of a quilt, give breathing space to busier prints and solve bindings, cushion backs, bag handles and small sewing details.

This is a medium-weight quilting cotton, easy to cut and to stitch by hand as well as by machine. For Tilda dolls and decorations it works well for little dresses, hats and hearts. Pre-wash before cutting so that the slight shrinkage happens before assembly; with dark colours it is wise to wash separately the first time.
