Solid Fern Green

Solid Fern Green is one of the Tilda plain fabrics, a mid-tone natural green that supports the brand's printed ranges. Solids give a quilt room to breathe between printed blocks, and they work for borders and backings, for appliqué leaves and stems, and for any area where a print would be too busy.

It is a medium-weight quilting cotton that cuts and sews easily, by machine or by hand, and is just as useful for bags, cushions, dolls and decorations. Pre-wash it before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For borders or for backing a project, choose one of the larger cuts, which come in the full width of the bolt.
