Solid Moss

Solid Moss is a moss green plain fabric from the Tilda Basics range, made to sit alongside the printed fabrics of the Tilda collections. Solids let a quilt breathe: sashing, borders, backing, squares alternating with pieced blocks, or calm backgrounds for appliqué and embroidery.

It is a medium-weight quilting cotton that cuts and sews well for small items too: pouches, cases, pot holders, leaves and stems for Tilda dolls and decorations. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew and a deep colour like this releases any excess dye. For borders and backings, choose one of the larger cuts.
