Solid Peacock

Solid Peacock is one of the Tilda plains, a deep peacock blue made to sit beside the printed collections without competing with them. Solids are the workhorse of patchwork: they act as a background for printed blocks, keep busy prints apart, and turn into borders, sashing and cushion backs.

Tilda cotton has a soft, close weave that cuts and sews well even in small pieces, so it also suits dolls, soft animals and stuffed decorations. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips for borders or binding, choose one of the larger cuts.
