Solid Rosewood

Solid Rosewood is a dusty rose plain from the Tilda Basics range: a warm, powdery shade meant to sit beside the Tilda prints without competing with them. Solids are what give a quilt room to breathe, separating printed blocks and bringing order to the layout; they are just as handy for borders, cushion backs, appliqué backgrounds and hand-finished bindings.

The cotton is firm and soft, easy to cut and to machine sew, and it also works well for Tilda doll bodies and small accessories. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips or larger areas, choose one of the bigger cuts.
