Woven Gingham Red

Gingham Red belongs to Creating Memories, the Tilda range of small-scale patterns grouped into seasonal palettes: this red and cream check comes from the winter colours and works all year round. It is woven rather than printed, with the yarns dyed before weaving, so the check looks the same on both sides – handy for binding, cuffs, bag linings and small items where the reverse shows.

It makes a quiet background next to the florals and festive prints of the collection, and suits cushions, hanging decorations, clothes for Tilda dolls and fabric baskets. Because of the shrinkage, pre-wash the fabric before cutting. For long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
