Woven Polkadot Red

Polkadot Red belongs to Creating Memories, the Tilda range of small-scale patterns grouped by season; this one sits in the winter palette, with red dots that read clearly even from a distance. It is a yarn-dyed woven fabric rather than a print, so the design shows on both sides and the surface has a slightly rustic look that is easy to sew by machine or by hand.

Small dots are a classic companion for Christmas sewing: borders, quilt backings, little bags, hearts and ornaments, as well as clothes for Tilda dolls. Shrinkage can reach 5%, so pre-wash the fabric before cutting. For long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
