A fluffy guinea pig in a party hat, hugging a wrapped present: a small piece of stitching that works up in a few evenings and becomes a greetings card to hand over in person. The design comes from a watercolour by Hannah Dale for Wrendale Designs, and the speckled printing on the fabric is part of the finished look.
As well as cross stitch you will use backstitch for the outlines and a few French knots for the details, so it suits anyone with a little experience. Everything you need is in the kit, card and envelope included; just add small scissors and, if you like working on taut fabric, a small hoop. The alphabet lets you add a name or a date.
