The curious face of a calf looking over a bed of tulips, taken from a watercolour by Hannah Dale for the Wrendale Designs collection. The speckled background is already printed on the fabric and gives the piece the soft look of the original painting, so the stitching stays on the subject instead of large filled areas.

The cottons come ready sorted and numbered on a card organiser, so you can start straight away; the frame is not included, and nor are a hoop and scissors, which are left to your own preference. A little back stitch completes the finer outlines. Framed, it suits a kitchen or a room in natural tones.
