Our Happy Place

A vintage caravan parked in a meadow, two red deckchairs with drinks on a little table and a pink sky above the hills: a softly coloured scene taken from an original painting by Lucy Pittaway, and the many shades of pre-sorted cotton keep that painterly feel in thread.

The design is counted from the chart onto plain Aida: cross stitch fills the landscape, back stitch outlines the details and French knots add the small accents, so some stitching experience helps. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the frame shown is not included. Boxed as it comes, it makes a ready-to-give present.
