A deer seen in profile, its antlers looking as though they were painted in watercolour: the design works through soft colour shifts from purple to orange and green on a pale ground. Evenweave is stitched by counting threads, usually over two, with one or two strands of stranded cotton depending on how much coverage you want.
Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit, threads and needle included; you only need to add a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. The few half cross stitches and long stitches bring out the detail of the muzzle and the fur. Once finished, the piece is made for framing — the frame shown is not included.
