Description

A softly shaded portrait in blues and whites, playing on the subtle tones of skin, silk and petals: a piece to take slowly, well suited to stitchers with some experience who want a long project.

Besides cross stitch you will work half cross stitch and back stitch for the outlines of the face, long stitches and French knots for the details, while beads and metallic threads highlight the jewellery and the flowers. A hoop or frame and good light make the work much easier. The frame shown is not included: once finished, the embroidery can be professionally mounted and hung as a picture.
