A portrait in deep blues designed by Miharu Yokota: the girl's face is built up from very gradual colour changes, so it pays to work steadily and keep an eye on the chart, printed here in large squares that are easy to read. On 30 count linen cross stitch is usually worked over two fabric threads, with one or two strands of stranded cotton depending on the coverage you prefer.
Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit, threads included; a hoop or frame, small scissors and the frame for mounting are not supplied. Good light helps with such a detailed design, and a magnifier if you use one. Once finished, the piece deserves a frame with a mount, to hang at home or to give as a gift.
