Description

One of Marjolein Bastin's birdhouses, busy with tits, a bullfinch, a robin and a wren: a large project with many shades of brown and green and details finished in back stitch and french knots. The evenweave fabric is usually worked over two threads, so the stitches stay fine and the plumage can be shaded properly.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the box: you only need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Given the size, a scroll frame helps, and it is best to start from the centre of the chart. The finished piece deserves a made-to-measure frame: the frame shown in the photo is not included.
