White Owl

A close-up portrait of an owl, worked in soft whites, greys and greens set off by the dark eye and the yellow beak. Counted cross stitch is worked from the chart, here printed with large squares that are easy to follow, and the evenweave fabric lets you stitch over two threads for crisp crosses that suit the shading of the feathers.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit: the frame shown in the photo is not included. A hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors make the work more comfortable. Once finished, a piece this size looks good framed, on its own or alongside other designs from the same animal collection.
