A heart of flowers

A heart built up from wild flowers, grasses and butterflies, worked in counted cross stitch from a symbol chart. On evenweave the stitches are usually worked over two threads, which keeps the coverage dense and the many colour transitions soft. It is a generously sized piece, well suited to stitchers with some experience, though the clear chart also makes it manageable if you take your time.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the box, threads included; you only need scissors and, if you prefer working with one, a hoop or frame. The frame shown in the photo is not included: the finished embroidery can be framed or mounted on a padded board.
