A red panda hugging the trunk among the red leaves of a maple: a design with many colour transitions, built up from 34 shades of stranded cotton and from cross stitch, half cross stitch and long stitch, the last useful for whiskers and the fine hairs on the face.
It is worked on evenweave fabric, stitching over two threads and following the large-square chart, which stays readable even in the busiest areas. Hoop, scissors and frame are not included: have a hoop or frame large enough ready and keep a good margin of fabric around the stitching, so the finished piece can be framed without trouble.
