An angel's face with soft features and barely sketched wings, with large red and yellow dahlias in her hair: a design built on gentle shading, achieved through the many colours in the kit and the gradual tonal changes across skin and petals. Alongside counted cross stitch, a few long stitches pick out the finer details.
Evenweave is worked over two threads for each stitch, so the result is finer than on Aida; the manufacturer rates it as a difficult project, best suited to stitchers with some experience of counted work. You will also need a frame or hoop and good light; the picture frame is not included. Once finished, the piece is ideal for framing as a picture.
