A view of the Bruges canals, with the stone bridge reflected in the water and two swans in the foreground: a large, richly shaded project for stitchers who already have experience with counted cross stitch. Besides the cross stitch you will work long stitch and back stitch, which outline the buildings and define the swans.
The design is worked on evenweave fabric following a large-square chart, easy to read even on a piece of this size. Hoop, scissors and frame are not part of the kit: a hoop or stretcher frame helps keep the tension even. Once finished, the panel lends itself well to framing as a picture.
