A watercolour-style portrait from Lanarte's Culture range: the girl's face, the dark hair braided with flowers and the floating fabrics are built up from many shades, following a symbol chart stitch by stitch.
On 30 count linen cross stitch is usually worked over two threads with one strand of stranded cotton, for a fine, delicate result; if you prefer an easier fabric to count, 15 count Aida gives the same stitched size. The threads are included and already sorted on the organiser, so you only need small scissors, a hoop or frame and, once finished, a picture frame: the tall format is made to hang on a wall.
