A snapshot of freshly picked flowers: pink and orange gerberas, small white daisies and blue stems arranged in a blue ceramic jug and a decorated pitcher. The design is worked in counted cross stitch from a large-square chart, which stays easy to read even in the heavily shaded areas.
The 12 threads per cm linen is stitched over two threads, so the crosses are fine and the shades blend smoothly: a project for someone with some experience of counted work. You will also need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the frame shown in the photo is not included, though the finished panel looks good mounted with a pale mount board.
