Description

A summer still life: a wicker basket filled with apples and pears, with leaves and butterflies around it, worked in soft shades on the pale fabric. The cross stitch is worked over two threads of the evenweave, giving about 5.2 stitches per centimetre; a few details are finished with long stitch and the outlines with back stitch.

The kit holds everything you need to stitch, apart from a hoop or frame and the picture frame, which are bought separately: the photo shows the work framed, but the frame is not included. Its size and the number of colours make it a substantial project, though well within reach of anyone who has already stitched a few smaller designs.
