Description

A still life in rich colours: a perfume bottle with golden highlights, open dahlias all around and a softly shaded background that is stitched solid. The petal shading and the background cover the whole fabric, so this is a project for stitchers with some experience of counted cross stitch who enjoy a long piece of work.

Besides cross stitch you will use back stitch for the outlines and a few French knots; the gold metallic threads light up the bottle and are best worked in short lengths so they do not fray. Fabric, threads, needle and chart are all in the kit: you will also want a hoop or frame, and the frame shown in the photo is not included.
